C’est vrai ça, passer quelques heures à pondre un billet et le voir se faire piquer s’afficher sur d’autres sites ou blogs, c’est un peu dur, non? Cela m’est arrivé une fois et à part envoyer un petit mot gentil mais agacé, on peut pas faire grand chose.

C’est là qu’un plugin pour WordPress entre en jeu: RSS Footer (déniché sur le blog Google Tutor). En gros, on peut ajouter du texte en bas de chaque billet repris par RSS et signaler ainsi la source des billets, le nom de son blog, son nom, etc.

A propos, Google Tutor m’apprend que ces voleurs de bas étage se nomme “scraper”:

A “scraper” is considered by some to be no better than a spammer. Scraping is when a person uses a software program to read a website, webpage screen or HTML, and then uses that information to create their own RSS feed. They then use that RSS feed to create spam blogs, typically with Google Adsense advertising thrown in (their reason for doing all this in the first place). As the owner of the original material, you can do little more than strongly complain to the thief but the chances of them acknowledging you and taking down the content are exactly nil.
